Fintech App · Group Expense Pooling
ConceptPotliPe
A shared fund pool for groups — everyone contributes first, then spends together, transparently.
Core group-pooling flow is built and demoed end-to-end; payment-collection integration is in progress. Available to acquire, license, or co-develop.
The problem
Group trips and shared expenses run on IOUs: one person pays for everything, others say they'll send it later, and settling up afterward creates awkwardness — and often, lost money.
The solution
PotliPe lets a group fund a shared pool upfront. Anyone can submit an expense, an admin approves it (or it pays automatically within a preset limit), and the payout goes straight to the vendor — a live shared balance instead of a pile of IOUs to settle later.
Key features
Shared group pools
Create a temporary pool for a trip or event; members contribute upfront instead of settling up after.
Admin-approved joins
Group admins approve new members via an invite code, keeping the pool controlled.
Spend limits
Per-member and per-transaction limits mean small expenses can auto-pay while larger ones route to approval.
Direct vendor payouts
Approved expenses pay straight to the vendor's UPI ID — no reimbursement chasing.
Live shared balance
Every member sees exactly what's left in the pool at all times.
Proportional refunds
Unused balance is refunded back to contributors when the pool closes.
How it works
1. Create a pool
An admin sets up a pool for a trip or event, with a contribution amount and optional spend limits.
2. Members join & contribute
Invited members are approved in and pay their share into the shared pool.
3. Submit an expense
Any member can submit an expense with the vendor's details — small ones can auto-pay within a set limit.
4. Admin approves (if needed)
Larger expenses route to an admin for approval before the payout fires.
5. Close & refund
When the trip or event ends, any remaining balance is refunded proportionally to contributors.
